SOUTH WALTON: Yahoo! Travel recently named South Walton beaches as one of the 10 Best Beach Destinations for 2011.

 Alys Beach is a beautiful, Greek inspired town in South Walton. Forbes recently names Alys Beach as America’s “Top Spot for Design-Savvy Home Buyers”.

 Blue Mountain Beach doesn’t have a mountain and it isn’t blue, but legend has it that sailors would see the high dunes that were covered in Blue Lupine flowers.

 Dune Allen Beach features many rental properties, as well as private residences. Dune Allen has many charming shops, casual and fine dining and several public beach access.

 Grayton Beach is one of the original old-time beach communities of South Walton, along Scenic Hwy 30A. The locals tend to spend a lot of time on the Grayton Beach dune lakes or on the public beaches. Celebrities are often found at one of the local establishments, such as the Red Bar.

 Miramar Beach. The area of South Walton that offers the most diverse options of dining and shopping. You will find the Silver Sands Outlet Mall for unbelievable deals and Grand Boulevard for upscale shopping and dining.

 Rosemary Beach. This community started in 1995 and got its name from the native rosemary bush. It features a European design and is very walkable with exquisite dining and shopping options.

 Sandestin. The Sandestin Resort offers gulf front lodging, wonderful private residences, the Village at Baytowne Wharf, spas, several golf courses and much more.
